The 2007 BMW M5 Touring (E61) is a high-performance station wagon that combines the practicality of a family car with the performance of a sports car. This iconic car is a symbol of BMW's commitment to engineering excellence and remains one of the most sought-after vehicles of its era. The E60 M5 was introduced in 2004, with a V10 engine and 7-speed transmission linking the car with the BMW Sauber Formula One program. This E61 generation Touring (wagon) was only sold in Europe. During its production run, only 1.025 Touring models were built.

The M5 Touring (E61) was powered by a 5.0-liter, V10 engine that produced 507 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. This engine was mated to a seven-speed sequential manual transmission, which provided lightning-fast shifts. The M5 Touring (E61) could accelerate from 0 to 100 kmh in just 4.8 seconds and had a top speed of 250 kmh. The E60 M5 was the fastest 4-door sedan available at the time of its introduction. Top speed is electronically restricted to 250 km/h, but could be raised to 305 km/h with the optional M-driver's package. The S85 engine was exclusively used in the E60/E61 M5 (and related E63/E64 M6) and is not based on any other engine.
