AUCTOMOBILE SUCCESS STORY

FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF AUCTOMOBILE

It all started just a little over two weeks before our first auction event. We are monitoring the market not only on every auction platform, but also on the main advert sites, dealer sites and also at the social media platforms.

.
So it happened that we found a post on Instagram showing a nice Lancia Montecarlo that will be for sale. We really liked the car and thought it could be a great addition to our auction event. Although we did not know the seller personally, our B2B Head Katerina tried to contact him via a direct message on Instagramand askedhim if he would like to try to sell the car through our online auction platform.

We met Jan the next day to answer all his questions, to discuss the reserve and other details. Jan is a great petrolhead and also a motoring journalist. We agreed on the conditions of the sale and just two days after this first meeting, the car was online on our platform. We prepared the describing article together, Jan uploaded really great pictures and after only a week, the live auction of our first car with a reserve started.

.
The auction took a slow start, the last day of the auction started just a little over 6.000 EUR and even 30 minutes before the auction end, the high bid was still only 13.000 EUR. But there were still 9 registered active bidders watching the final 30 minutes promising a strong finish.

And it really was a great battle with the last 4 bidders bidding into the last 2 minutes. They all ended within only 750 EUR, with the fourth place going to Switzerland with a bid of 21.250 EUR, 21.500 EUR came from Czech Republic in the third place, the second highest bid with 21.750 EUR from Germany. But the winner was another bidder from Czech Republic, who bought the car for the last bid of 22.000 EUR. So the car finally stayed in the Czech Republic, also with another car enthusiast Vladimir!

.
We have just assisted Vladimir with his only request to pay for the car in CZK instead of EUR and the next week he came to pick his “new” great car, leaving Jan only with the red chilli pepper pendant that came with the car from the previous Italian owner hanging on the rear view mirror.

FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE SELLER JAN

A small garage and another interesting car of the same conceptthat out of destiny landed in my small garage, found me forced to start thinking about selling the not well known and even less seen Lancia Montecarlo. A car that came in an excellent condition, with original parts and wheels, with a clear history and last but not least with a story…

.
I did not think about selling at auction at first, but right after the first meeting, I was convinced that this could be the right choice. I had an internally set minimum price limit and I just did not need to sell the car. I have just thought that the market would tell me, if the car has that value. And it did...

It never occurred to me that the car would stay in the Czech Republic, but I do not hide it made me happy. What really thrilled me was the professional approach of Auctomobile, especially in terms of presentation of the car, quick agreement and excellent feedback during and after the sale.

.
I wish the new owner a lot of enjoyment and many happy miles and to Auctomobile a lot of interesting cars on offer! Thanks again.

FROM JAN'S FACEBOOK

For the first time, for the second time... SOLD!

.
I have really mixed feelings. Tonight, Bella was sold at the Auctomobile auction.

.
Surprisingly, it remains in the Czech Republic, the last ten minutes have been very exciting. I'm glad that I have one worry less, but I'm sad to leave such a beautiful car ☹

.
Internally, I expected the car stays with me and I was already looking for a garage. It comforts me that there will stand another car instead, for which I have looked a few years. And coincidentally, I also bought it at auction...

.
The queen is dead. Long live the queen!

Ciao Bella...

I have memories and photos left and I kept the red chilli pendant😥

.

I am glad that the car stays in the Czech Republic and apparently in good hands 😍 I can come and see it any time and if it is ever again for sale, I have a buying option...
