1. The most expensive street legal Paint to Sample Porsche ever sold at an auction

2015 Arrow Blue Porsche 918 “Weissach” Spyder

Was sold on May 27th 2017 at the RM Auction in Villa d’Erba (Como/Italy) for 1.456.000 EUR inclusive of buyer’s premium thus setting the record for the highest priced Paint to Sample Porsche ever sold at an auction. This 918, the only one of the 918 units produced by Porsche , was painted in Arrow Blue (305/Pfeilblau) a historical Porsche color available on the 911 from model year 1976 through model year 1982.

2. The most expensive street legal 911 ever sold at an auction

RM Sotheby’s

1995 Riviera Blue 993 GT2 is the most expensive street legal 911 ever sold at an auction

Was sold on September 7th 2016 at the RM Auction in London for 1.856.000 GBP (=2.125.200 EUR) inclusive of buyer premium thus setting the record for the highest priced street legal Porsche 911 ever sold at an auction. A total of 242 993 GT2s were built but only 172 were street legal.

  

3. The most expensive non-silver 550 Spyder ever sold at an auction

Gooding and Co.

Was sold on March 11th 2016 at the Gooding & Co. auction at Amelia Island for 5.335.000 USD inclusive of buyer premium setting on that day the record for the highest priced Porsche 550 ever sold at an auction. Until March 2016 this was the highest price a 550 Spyder ever fetched at an auction, only to be surpassed few months later by chassis 550-0090 at the Bonhams Goodwood Revival auction with 6,100,000 USD (a silver car!). A total of 90 Porsche 550 Spyders were built.
