All three top sales from the last week go to the traditional auction houses time as this week was the first online auction week across the world. Three different houses, three different countries, Bonhams in UK, Osenat in France and RM Sotheby’s in USA. And the cars are ranging from pre-war to modern classic.

.

1. TOP SALE OF THE WEEK – Talbot AV105 (1934)

The top pick goes to an amazing pre-war car Talbot AV105 that was sold as no reserve at Bonhams last Saturday, the 30th of May for 61.875 GBP including fees. The no reserve auction helped to get the car for a great price and this result makes it a current leader in our Top Sales Quarterly. Although an older restoration, the car had a documented history and was in a very good condition. The engine was overhauled and the car runs strongly. It is one of 2.105 examples produced and what is also noteworthy is that the car is Mille Miglia with a very good coefficient of 1,65. (auction link)

2. TOP SALE OF THE WEEK – Ferrari 512 BB (1979)

Pick number two goes to French Osenat, where on the 27th of May a Ferrari 512 BB from 1979 was sold for only 140.000 EUR including fees (excl. VAT). You would have to go more than 7 years back in time to buy this model cheaper than this one went for. One of only 929 carbureted examples built is still mostly original and spend all his life in France. It is painted in the classic Rosso Corsa with black lower bodywork over an original black leather interior. The car shows only 21.193 kilometers on the clock, it has never been repainted and its patina is unique on this kind of cars. A really great buy for this money! (auction link)

3. TOP SALE OF THE WEEK – Aston Martin Vanquish (2002)

The third place of the last week goes again to a modern classic Aston Martin, this time to a Vanquish from 2002. Only 1.492 examples of this V12 were built. This one with 33.843 miles from new has a beautiful green paint and a two-tone leather interior. This 460 HP V12 was sold by RM Sotheby’s on the 29th of May for 46.200 USD including fees, which makes it with 100 USD per one horse power a really cheaply bought rare V12 car. It is the cheapest Vanquish ever sold at an auction. (auction link)
