The 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230 S is a classic car that represents the pinnacle of luxury and elegance. This iconic car is a symbol of the golden age of automotive design and engineering, and it remains one of the most sought-after vehicles of its era.

The Mercedes-Benz W111 was a chassis code given to a range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles produced between 1959 and 1971, including four-door saloons (1959-1968). Their bodywork featured distinctive tailfins that gave the models their Heckflosse nickname — German for "fintail".
In May 1965, the 220Sb and 220SEb were replaced by the new 230S.

The 230 S was powered by a 2.3-liter, six-cylinder engine that produced 120 horsepower and 179 Nm of torque. This engine was mated to a four-speed manual transmission, which provided smooth and precise shifts. The 230 S could accelerate from 0 to 100 kmh in 12.5 seconds and had a top speed of 175 kmh.

The exterior of the 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230 S was designed with classic Mercedes-Benz styling cues. It had a sleek and aerodynamic profile with a distinctive hood, a chrome grille, and a sloping roofline. The 230 S also had chrome accents that ran along the bottom of the body, which gave the car a stylish and elegant look.

The interior of the 230 S was luxurious and comfortable, with high-quality materials and impeccable attention to detail. The dashboard was made of polished wood and featured an array of gauges and controls, including a clock and a tachometer. The seats were upholstered in high-quality leather.

The 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230 S was a joy to drive. It had precise handling and excellent feedback, which allowed drivers to feel connected to the road. The suspension was well-tuned and provided a comfortable ride, even on rough roads. The brakes were also powerful and provided excellent stopping power.

Today, the 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230 S is highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts. Its classic styling, excellent performance, and legendary handling make it a true icon of the luxury car world. Prices for a well-maintained example can range from 25.000 EUR to 50.000 EUR depending on its condition and mileage. If you have the opportunity to drive one, you will not be disappointed. The 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230 S is a true masterpiece of automotive engineering that will always hold a special place in the hearts of luxury car enthusiasts.

This Mercedes Benz W111/W112 flagship is the predecessor of the legendary S-Class. This example is one of 47.107 produced and is in exceptional condition, having undergone an extensive and very careful restoration which has been meticulously documented and will be delivered with the car. It is in fully operational condition and is surprisingly pleasant to drive even by today's standards. This example boasts really low mileage. It is powered by a 2.306 ccm four-stroke inline six-cylinder engine, with power going to the rear wheels via a manual 4-speed gearbox.
