The Ferrari 308 GTB was unveiled at the Paris Show in 1975. Ferrari returned to Pininfarina for the 308 GTB's styling, and this two-seat, mid-engine coupe sat on a chassis with a wheelbase that was eight inches shorter than the GT4 upon which it was based.

Production started with the GTB Berlinetta in 1976, with the 308 GTS Targa variant being introduced in 1977. The first 308s Ferrari built wore fiberglass bodies before the company switched to steel. In all, just over 12,000 308s were produced from 1976 to 1985.

These 3-liter, V-8 powered 1980s icons represent an excellent way to enter into Ferrari ownership due to their relative affordability and ease of ownership. The 308 GTBi and GTSi variants from 1980 to 1982 saw Bosch fuel injection replace the previous generations' Weber carburetors.

Ferrari 308s can be great fun to own and drive, provided you follow a preventative schedule of maintenance that includes the timing belts every three to five years. It also wise to avoid cars with rust, as this can be costly to fix.

This example

Swiss delivery in April 1981 where it had two owners in Luzern and Zürich. The car got imported to Germany and received in 2016 the historic registration in Bonn. Since then it was kept in a collection and driven occasionally.

The Original service booklet reports all the services which have been done at authorized Ferrari dealerships or Ferrari specialits. Last service has been in 06/2020 with new timing belt. Many invoices and documents are available. The overall condition is good. This Ferrari is for the road and needs to be driven.

Here are some remarks to the car. The tyres are still road legal and should be replaced. The OZ Racing wheels are not the Original alloys but look great on the car. The A/C is inactive. Some cosmetic repaints have been done.

The German TüV has been done and it valid till 06/2022. The car got a new clutch and the engine has been partly revised in 2015. Since then it has been driven only 3.000km.

This is a perfect Ferrari for drivers that would like to enter the Ferrari world and feel the Italian passion.
